Detox Diet
Healing Detox Diet For Mind, Body and Spirit !
GUIDELINES FOR DETOX DIET
This program must be voluntary.
Consult your primary care provider to find out if a detox diet is appropriate for you. A detox diet should not be used by pregnant or nursing women, children, or people with anemia, eating disorders (Bulimia or Anorexia), AIDS and other immune dysfunction, lowered immunity, low blood pressure, adrenal problems, epilepsy and advanced cancers unless recommended and supervised by your primary care provider.
Do not stop taking any medication without consulting the prescribing doctor or your family physician. However, your blood pressure will generally go down, so you should monitor your blood pressure everyday and use caution when standing up quickly.
You must go into and come out of detox period slowly, or else this program will be less helpful. Take a few days or even weeks after the program to reintroduce grains, dairy, and meats.
Don’t take vitamins during the fast; taking vitamin C is optional.
Don’t chew gums during detox program.
You must have good elimination: sweating often is a tremendous help.
You may have discharges of the lungs, nose, or intestines. This is normal and a good sign. You may also have skin eruptions as your body detoxifies.
Watch the amount and color of urine and fecal output.
Check your tongue, eyes, skin color, and hair texture daily Make sure drink enough water: if you have kidney stone, during detox, your body might try to get rid of the stone. Drinking lots of water helps the passage.
If there’s any weakness or problem in your body, they often show up during Detox. This is quite helpful to prevent unexpected/sudden problems.
Feel proud of yourself for doing such a great thing for your body and mind!
You should avoid doing juice fasting right before your period.
(Make sure that you are not pregnant)
